Original Art and Prints, Greeting Cards, Gifts and Collectibles

The Artists’ Attic is a well-known feature of the local arts community, located on Broad Street – the main thoroughfare in Camden, SC. We have been operating nearly 20 years in the same location. Currently, our lively Gallery/Studio is home to twenty-three professional South Carolina artists in residence. Every aspect is completely artist – operated; from hanging displays and hosting exhibits, to assisting customers and accepting commissions. Some of us offer classes and workshops onsite.

Welcome to Artists Attic Gallery…

We feature South Carolina artists, specializing in equine art, botanical and animal art, landscape, mixed media, photography, traditional portraiture and home décor. Much of our subject choices are inspired by local, Southern influences. Our choices of media encompass the well known, such as oils, watercolor and acrylics, to lesser known techniques of mixed media assemblages, embossing, resin casting & mold making and dyes on silk. Several of our SC artists have prints of their work available. We have a master framer in-house who can assist with that perfect finishing touch.

Come browse; we have artwork presented throughout the building to encourage just that.

Our dedicated display area showcasing our work greets you as you enter, so you can envision artwork in your home. Our creative area is an open space design, to allow for impromptu exchanges. We prefer an informal gallery experience, helping our customers connect with our art personally – making ourselves available for consultation in a friendly, approachable atmosphere.

Our goal is to have your experience with us relaxing and fun; leaving you to browse or ask questions – or watch us work.

Camden, South Carolina (just outside of Columbia, SC) is known for many things – America’s oldest inland city, historical sites and homes, biannual Steeplechase races, and famously celebrated for its horses and hospitality. But did you know that Camden is a designated art and cultural district that has many Southern artists?
