Professional Artist Forrest Fortier

Forrest Fortier resides in Lugoff, South Carolina and adopted here as her home in 1995.  She obtained a nursing degree from Penn State University and a master’s in training and development from St. Francis University.  She has always been creative, artistic and an out of the box thinker, as she helped others develop nursing skills encompassed with ART and SCIENCE throughout her career.  Forrest is now retired from nursing and returned to her love of art.  As a hobby, Forrest started experimenting with various mediums to create the beautiful images at a young age.  After her nursing career, she sought experts to help her grow the inherited talent and skills, developing different techniques to express meaning through her paintings.  She has received several awards including best in show at a juried art show.  She won first place in mixed media for Power of Nursing Through Prayer at the 2021 SC State Fair (see below).  Forrest has also been published for her art by Penn State University Nursing and University of South Carolina Nursing.

Forrest mentors’ others using her master’s degree in training and development and her talent.  She teaches drawing, watercolor, color pencil, acrylic, mixed media, collage, pyrography, sculpting, casting and decoupage… Cost is $35 for 2.5 hour session at Artist Attic.  Schedule is based on the individuals time availability.  Forrest adapts her schedule to accommodate the home schooler, the busy professional, the student with a busy afterschool schedule…
